Longest session i've ever played, 5,500 hands or so, with one intermission, first part of the session i played really well, and ran terrible, I had trouble getting hands to hold up, when the money was all in, and along with that, i got delt QQ to AA for a buy in, all in on flop, i got flush over flushed, w/e u can think of it happen, and it wasn't my day, and i ended up DOWN $1,000, i feel like i been complaining alot, which i shouldn't, but yesterday was just sick, what can i say. Weds (today) i'm not to sure if i am going to play or not, I'm going to review my hands from yesterday and try to figure out what I could have done better, but i started making some calls later in the session, that i normally wouldnt make, and i just need to stay on top of my game no matter what, variance is somethin u just gotta ride out, and thats what im working on, hopefully when i play next, it goes a little better for me, but anyways im off here, might play some soon.

Went and ate Chill's with the friends, you just can't beat that place.

Today, I slept in, then got up an around, and headed up to my Uncle Ronnie's shop, to help out my dad and my Uncle Marty, work on an engine swap, for my Uncle Rock hahaha, so many uncles. After that, I went home and cleaned up, and Tyler, I, Hung, and another buddy S kyler went to watch "Good Luck Chuck" , which was a decent movie, and some parts were just hilarious. After that , got home and decided to play some cards.

The Session was like Up $200, down $300, down $400, down $570, then up $110 lol.

I got up nice the first part of the session, a guy had limped and i raised it up with JJ, flop come JJ8, and the guy had j8, took his chips, couldnt have asked for a better flop. Then after that I had a nice stack on that same table, and i flopped top set , i had QQ on a 3 spade flop, and I got it all in verse a flopped flush, and the board didnt pair for a $670 pot. After that happen, i just started loosing a ton of medium sized pots due mainly to bad turn cards, basically ran bad. Pretty soon I have 66, guy limps under the gun, i raise it up, guy in the cutoff calls, small and big blind fold and the utg guy re raises me, it was like $30 total or somethin like that, 21 more ontop of my original raise, and we were both really deep, so i call, and the guy in the cutoff calls as well.. flop comes 662, i flopped quads, utg guy bets pot, $100 somethin, i call, guy in cutoff calls, he has 22, cooler for him, the turn is a 7, utg checks, i bet really small like $55 , so i could get all his chips in the middle and he raised me for like $100 more or somethin, for an $810 pot. AFter that pot I went on like a mini rush, and won a few more hands which got me back up.

I'm tired and I'm off for the night, its 2:45 a.m. in the morning, bed time, i'll play tomorrow.

Today we got to work, had an easy day, and was off about 3:00 P.M. We ate lunch at Wendy's today, which is one of my favorite fast food places. I ordered my meal and my dads, was carrying the tray over to the counter to get some napkins/straws/ect. I had ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and 2 of there 99cent chicken nuggets, and dad got like a #2 or something. On my way over to the table to sit down and eat, some one box of my nuggets jumped off my tray and went all over the floor, all 5 or 6 of them hahaha, i justed picked them up and threw them away, and after eating what I had left I was full anyway. I think there was only a couple people who seen it, but if I was them I would have been laughin !

Anyways as far as Poker goes, I played around 1,100 hands, and played well I believe. I check raised all in in a re raise pot with As Qx on a 3 spade flop, and was unfortunate to run into a flopped Q high flush, for a $400 pot. I snapped off a few donkeys here and there, picked up some decent pots, and actually ended up winning $150, and as far as the month goes I'm up $1,700, with 10 days left to go, I can do some damage, if I stay on top of my game. In order to make it to $2/$4 nl, which is my goal, I need to win around $2,200, so we'll see what happens.

I'm off for the night, gunna get some rest, tomorrow I plan on going to the fair for the 2nd time, except this time might ride some rides, who knows. I might not get any hands in tomorrow, maybe. Good nite.

Today went great at work, and we were off by 2:00 P.M. Made it home and chilled out for a while, cleaned up the truck, went to wall-mart and a few other places, and fired up the tables to play some cards.

Something I was talking about in a previous blog post, was when I was playing, not to look at poker tracker, the program that logs my hands, and just play and play, until I decided to stop. I did really well today with that, I opened poker tracker, and decided not to look at it until I was done. I started playing around 8:00 and planned to play till 10:00, everything was going great, I was playing good, and then around 9:55 P.M. or so, just when i was getting ready to close up the tables, I lose a $900 + pot, which was just gross, and I should have folded the river, but I just couldn't see him having what he did, after that I shut the tables off and got me something to eat, now I'm writing this blog post.

Before I say how the hand went down, we both had over $440 at the table, and I had notes on this guy, where i had re raised him pre-flop, and he had called my continuation bet on a flop of 10 5 2 with 9's, and the turn and river went check check. So this pot, he raises UTG and I 3 bet him to $26 on the button in this 5 handed game, and the small and big blind fold. The flop is 222, guy checks and I bet $45 into $55, and I get called, turn is a 7, he checks and i bet $100 into $145, thinking he has some pair lower Queens , the guy calls, so I'm thinking now he has to have an over pair, and obviously he isn't folding, the river is an A, and he donk shuvs his last $295 into like $395, I couldn't see how on earth this guy could have an A, i figure if he doesnt go away on the flop with AK, he atleast goes away with the bet i make on the turn, and i think this was definately a good card for him to bluff all in with, especially from his perspective, he is probably thinking theres no way i can call with KK QQ , and he can take the pot away with his pair, is what i was thinking, so I make the call and he turns over AK for $900 + pot, nice hand sir. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1493470

First thing today, Tyler and I met up with my cousin Jeff and his wife Terrie to go to the fair around 1:00 P.M. or so. We stayed out there for a while, basically walked around and checked out some of the concept cars they had, and not much of anything else. It was fun I guess, but it was just way to hot and miserable. When we made it back home, decided it was time to eat something good so we went up to Chilli's. Also decided that it would be cool to go see "Mr. Woodcock" , in which we did and it was pretty funny. But after all its finally nice to be back to the house chillin, and rest a little bit before work tomorrow.

As far as poker goes, tonight I didn't play a lot, I got in around 400 hands and won a little over a buy in. I would have played more, but theres one thing I can't stand , and thats being stuck for a session, and it drives me to play better and long hours until I break even, which is a bad habit I have, and is something else I need to work on. So I decided to stop after 400 hands, which gives me time to chill out a bit before bed and do w/e.

Starting this month, Tyler and I had been talking about wanting a sport bike for a while, something like a 2007 yamaha R6 or maybe some Suzuki, but we realized it's basically to late this year to get anything like that and have time to ride. So having that in mind, I set a goal through playing cards, by the time February-March gets here, I can have $10,000 saved up for a sport bike, and pay cash for a new one that I want, and Tyler will get one to. But the deal is, every month including this month, I'm putting $500 back from the rakeback that I earn each month, which will be about $3,000 time that gets here, and for every $4000 that I win, I'm pulling out $1000, so basically 25 % of my profits. So basically I need to make around $28,000 by the time march or so gets here, which is something I look forward to. So having said that, I should be playing quite a bit of cards between now Feb-March.

In the meantime, I'm still trying to work my way up to $2/$4 NL. When I first started playing $1/$2 NL and all the other limits, I made sure I had a solid 25 buy ins for the limit that I was playing, but It's different as you go up in stakes. In order to play $2/$4 NL.... I'd much rather have a more solid bankroll, so I've decided to play $1/$2 NL until I get to around $15,000, which I'm not to far from. Right now I have $12,500 so, $2,500 more and I can take a shot. Another one of my goals for a few weeks back was to be able to play some $2/$4 NL by the 1st of October, and If I can keep playing well this month, It can happen and I look forward to playing in a bigger game. Got to keep my head focused and keep playing well, and stay on top of ways to improve.

Absolutely didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Got up and took sis to school, came home and took mom to doctor to get her arm checked on from her surgery, and when I got home it was around 9:30 A.M. or so, and then I was off to work. It wasn't to bad today, didn't have a whole lot going on, just enough to get us done around 2:30 or so, and even though the day was short, still was nice to be home. I went to eat Boomerang with Tyler and Hung, which wasn't to bad, then it was back to the house to play some cards.

I didn't play a lot today, due to the fact I had some other things to take care of but I got close to 900 hands in, which isn't to bad, but nothing to brag about. Session went well and managed to pick up a little over 1.5 buy ins. There was one hand where I tried to run a play on a guy and it goes as follows..... Folds to my button and I raise it up with 99, a regular in the big blind re raised me so i called to see a flop, he bet out like $35 or so into $50, on an A24 flop, I called, intending to make a move on the turn if checked to me......turn was an 8, he checks to me, I made a bet of like $55 into like $120 or so, figuring he folds hands anywhere from 10's to K's, and the only hand I see him proceeding which is AK, and he check raised me all in......I had to fold, but i still stand by my play here. A play that ran bad, but I think I get him to fold enough in this spot to make it profitable. I'm gunna get off here and chill for a while before I go to bed, I'll play some tomorrow, peace.

Ahhhh , got up and went to work today, had some Mexican food for lunch, and was off by about 3:00 p.m. which was kinda nice. Got home and decided to play, and managed to get in about 1,900 hands. I played very well today, although I was running quite bad against short stacks, but thats no problem ! Another thing that has been making me play a little better, and something that Tyler has been trying to get me to do for a long time, is not looking at my poker tracker stats, while I'm playing. Almost after every pot, I used to switch over to my poker tracker, that logs all the hands, and I would look at how many hands I've played, profit or losses, and a few stats, and trying to do all that and concentrate on playing, really makes it hard. But just recently I've just opened poker tracker and made sure it was running, and focused on the tables, which I think will continue to help improve my game. Today I had a loosing session, but I'm cool with that, because I feel as though I gave 100 %. Tomorrows another day, gotta work a bit, and I'm sure I'll be playing again when I get home. Today, I had to get up around 9:30 or so, to be up at the hospital for my mom's surgery. Everything went great, and she's at home, just gotta get better is all. Thought I was going to have to go back to work after the surgery, but time we got home it was 5:00 P.M. and really was no point in going to work, but we have to work Saturday and Sunday, which sucks alot !

I managed to play about 600 hands today, and scored a nice win. I ran really hot, got good cards, I was getting re raised pre-flop more today then I have in a while, so I decided the best way to play this session was super tight, and I got paid off huge. Also played the biggest pot at $1/$2 nl I've played, $900 +, where i got the money all in on the flop with best hand and held ! Would be nice to run this well the rest of the money, but thats highly unlikely, but it seems as though, after a loosing day like my last $1000 loss, i manage to have huge upswings as well, which is nice.

Also I just got my Blackberry Pearl 8100 series (black) phone in yesterday. The phone has absolutely so much stuff on it, i'll never figure it all out. I basically got a new phone because my dad wanted my razor, therefore i had to get somethin else. I wanted the white one, but they shipped me the black, and i just decide to keep it i guess haha.

Before I tell u how the hand went down, I had been playing with this guy for about 20 minutes or so, and he was playing super agro. Each time i came in for a raise pre-flop, he would 3 bet me, so not to long after that, i played back and stack him for a $400 pot. Still after that pot, i had about $450 + at the table and he had well over $500, and every hand i had raised after that, he would 3 bet me, so I slowed way down, tightened up, and waited for the kill. Finally I pick up Ad Kd, i raise he calls, flop comes KQ 2 with 2 diamonds, he checked and i bet, the guy check raised me pot, and right then and there i told myself, im going with the hand, because as much as he was 3 betting me, i was almost 100 % sure he 3 bets me with KQ, so the only hand i was worried about was 22, and i had enough outs to beat that hand if he did infact have it. So we got in a re raise war, until i 6 bet all in for a $940 pot, he felted K 10, top pair, and i held up :]]]

Haven't made a blog post in a few days, on the 4th of this month, I managed to loose a little over $800, and on a scale from 1-10 I played about a 7, made some marginal calls where I should have folded, and should have took a different line with a few hands, which I'm working on. On the 5th I took the day off, just chilled, had to run my sis around, and I watched some tv. Today, pretty much chilled until tonight , and I decided to play a few hands, I didn't want to play a lot, because my mom has surgery on her arm tomorrow for carpel tunnel and to get a cyst cut out thats growing on her nerve, serious stuff, and thats in the morning.

I'm getting tired, time to take shower and go sleep. Tomorrow I don't think I'll be off work until 5:00 p.m. or so, after moms surgery were going to go to work to catch up on some stuff, and we gotta work Saturday to, suxxxxxxxxxx. But I plan on putting in a few hands tomorrow night as well.

This hand I had QJ, flopped top pair, and instead of making a bet out, I opted to check, and had planned to value bet the turn if he checked, but instead he did the betting for me, so I called the turn, and his river bet, his river bet would have put me in a hard spot if he would have bet more to the size of the pot, but since he kept it cheap, i was calling. Basically today I just slept in, and enjoyed the day off since it was somewhat of a holiday.
Watched the Cubs play the Dodgers, outcome=bad, but w/e, I think their still in first.

Poker... I played almost 600 hands, and managed to pick up a few $. I played somewhat tight, just being back in the game, but hey I was getting paid off so I seen absolutely no reason to change up my style. Although I found a few spots where I could increase my win rate, but it's a spot where its going to make a difference over thousand of hands.

This was the biggest pot I lost all night, and it wasn't alot, only like $40 i lost, but i raised with AQ , flop come low cards, and a guy led out on the flop, i thought he was weak and i could represent and over pair, but he was opened ended , called the raise, hit a pair on turn and it went check check , and check check, the river was a K, when he checked to me, i was very tempted to fire another barrell, and i think i should have but i didnt, owell lol here it is.

So tonight I'm getting my poker tracker ready to go for cash games tomorrow. Gotta get my head straight and focused back on cash games, no more tournaments lol, not for a while anyways. You know how your kinda grown up left handed or right handed, or something like that, I was grown up playing cash games and I make good money doing that so gotta stick to the cash games.

On another note, My Uncle, Tyler, and I went to eat Chilli's and watched "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry", the food was awesome and the movie was great, and Labor day tomorrow, and I'm off work. I'm off to bed, and plan to play at least 1,000 hands tomorrow, if not more, and I'll post how that goes.

I've been waiting on my laptop to get back from this place I took it to, and I finally got it back, and am glad. Past 3-4 days I've just been playing some small buy in tournaments, getting ready to start playing probably 2-3 tournaments an evening , and trying to pick up some nice scores. Anyways I'm off to eat, then I'll play some small buy in tournaments the rest of the day.

As far as poker goes, I think I am done with cash games for the month, I managed to win $3,600 this month, and that put me at $11,200 in the bankroll. I'm going to try top to study multi table tournaments over the next few days and start playing some tournaments next month, and see how well that works out. Today (Sunday), I slept in, got around and had to go help dad finish up doing some tile work at his best friends house. It wasn't much, just about an hour or so, but it still sucks working any amount of time on the weekends. After that I went home and picked up Tyler and my sis, and met my dad over my Uncle's house to help load a few things into my dads van. Then all of us went to eat Mexican food, which wasn't the greatest I had, although it was ok.

After the meal I got home and put in some hands while Tyler watched the Cubs game (which didn't turn out to great). I played well under 1,000 hands, ran super hot, and picked up a nice win. Lately I feel like when I get stuck, I play really good poker until I break even and pick up a small win, or I win a whole lot within the first 1,000 hands and stop. I need to work on just playing 1,000 hands + everyday no matter what the end result is, and play solid 100 % of the time, put hands in.....put hands in....and put more hands in, is exactly what I need to do. I have to work tomorrow, and tomorrow until the end of the month gives me 5 more days, and I need to finish the month strong. This is my biggest month ever, up a little bit more than last month, but if I finish the month strong, I can have my first $4,000 profit month from poker, and I'm at $3,700 on the month, so we'll see what happens.

A few hands....

This was the biggest pot I lost, and the pot was small, but heres how it went down. I have AK in the small blind with 2 limpers, and i raise it up, one limper calls and we go to a flop. 5s jd qd, I bet $21 into the $35 pot and the limper calls, turn is an Ah, I checked called his $35 bet on the turn and the river is an 8h, so the board is 5s jd qd ah 8h, i check again, he bets $97 all in, and theres just not any hand i beat here so i just folded. After reviewing the hand and talking it over with Tyler, theres 2 ways i could have played this hand after the flop. Sense the flop was so i could have check folded this flop, but i think thats somewhat weak, raising out of position, so I decided to bet the flop. On the turn I went for a check call, which was pretty bad, next time i should just bet the turn somewhat big like 3/4 the pot, and If i get shuved on, i know almost 100 % that im no good, but anyways here it is. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1414306

Today was basically another day as far as work goes, we had to finish up a few things and was off by about 2:00 P.M. Tyler came over, watched the cubs game while I put in a session, then he passed out until about 10:00 or so.

For poker, I played 1,400 hands and was up about $400, and this put me over well over the $10,000 mark in the roll. I can remember breaking $5,000 not to long ago, then shooting for $10,000 and It's crazy because I never dreamed that I would ever earn this much from poker and and its just to cool. So I'm pretty stoked about that . Here's a few hands and some poker tracker stats for the day.

After I got home from work today I had to go get a tag for my truck. Was cheaper then what I thought, so that was c00l. I only played about 200 hands of poker today, and was up $450. Work wasn't to bad today, especially sense we were off by 1:00 P.M.

First thing I did when got home, after cleaning up, was fire up the laptop and open up Ultimate Bet. I started playing , first 400 hands or so I was up about $280 or so. After that everything was down hill, and everything went bad. I was down about $850 or so at one time, but I wasn't tilting, nor playing bad, although I did play a few hands bad, not going to lie, but overall I played decent, with exception of a few kinks here and there. After all said and done, I managed to win back all that and was up $50. Total hands played 3,700, not a normal session for me, but I stuck it out like my buddy Tyler and managed to pull through a win. If I was playing terrible, I would have had to stop, but given the fact that I felt like my play was fine, and how terrible the players were, I decided to hang in there. Also I ran the most $ up on a $1/$2 NL table I've ever had, it's definitely not the most there has ever been, but most for me. Anyways heres a few hands and I'm off to sleep for work tomorrow.

Got off work around 5:00 p.m. and was worn out, all I wanted to do was get home , take uh shower, and chill on the laptop, and play some cards.

As far as poker goes it went well, I got flush over flushed twice, and I lost a buy in to a regular who made a flush when I made my set, I shouldn't have got stacked, and I played the hand terrible, but there was no way I could see him having a flush there, I still played it bad, and I've got to correct these mistakes if I want to become a better player. I managed to win $300 and the donkeys were everywhere ! I should still be in the game right now , but I got in 1,000 hands and I'm going to chill the rest of the night. Rake the Rake pays out rakeback for us who have rakeback every 16th and I got paid today, $760 for last month. $475 of that is going to pay for my season hockey tickets this year, and the other $285 I'm sure I'll find something to do with it !

Anyways sometime tomorrow,the weekend, or early next week in the evening, I got to have my truck dropped off to this guy, who is supposed to fix the few dents I got in the side of my truck. About a month ago or so, Tyler and I was playing cards at one of my family's houses , and my dad told me to come out and look at my truck, and it looks like someone took there elbow and slammed it into the side, or something I don't know but it about made me sick, because I take very good care of my ride. It's not going to cost much to fix, and the guy who is going to fix it, claims he does a good job, so we'll see.

I got a b-day in like 3 days, the 19th, I'll be 20, and its just stomach sickening almost, that the teen years are over. So these last few days, I'm not rushing them I'll promise u that. However getting closer to 21, and I have a trip planned to go to Las Vegas to play cards with Tyler, when the time gets here, s0 I guess thats something to look forward to !

Tomorrow is Friday, and I think we will be off work by 3:00 P.M. which will be pretty cool, I want to do something this weekend though, just not to sure what. I know I'll be playing cards with Tyler all weekend, but maybe we can find something else to do as well. I'm starting to get board, and really looking forward to hockey season :]

I didn't want to get up to go to work this morning as always, but what can u do ? Work was alright, especially since we got off around 1:00 p.m. So basically 3-4 hours work today , can't complain right? Anyways I got home, showered, did all that good stuff and went and picked up Tyler to chill for the day. We ran by the computer store, I had to check to see if a part had come in, then we went and ate at this little diner called Soda Pops which was pretty good actually.

Made our way back home and I got a session started before the Cubs game started, and ended up playing around 1000 hands. The only medium sized pots I lost was when I had QQ to KK , I had to stack off to this guy because he only had about half a buy in. I lost another pot QQ to this guys AA, he should have took my entire stack, the board was perfect for him, but somehow I was able to get away from this. Other then that I can't complain. I was able to regain those losses and pick up a small win, and decided to watch the Cubs. They are in inning 3 right now, hoping they can pull off a win.

I'm really looking forward to hockey this year. Tyler and I are huge fans of the Oklahoma City Blazers (CHL). This will be my 3rd year for season tickets, and Tylers 2nd. One game for him a few years ago, and thats all it took, he was hooked. Anyways we have to have our money in for the season tickets by the 24th, and the first game is in October sometime, can't wait !

Got to sleep in today, which was great. Got up and around, and went to meet my Uncle, Gma, another Uncle and Aunt and Bob to go eat at this Chinese place. Food was really good and I got to full. After all that, I came home and decided to mow the yard, that took about 1 hour and half or so, and it was pretty hot outside, kinda sucked.

But anyways I put in around 1,700 hands today and I feel like I played really well. Today was one of those days where I felt like like I was going to win $1000 + sitting at the tables, but that didn't happen. There were 2-3 pots over $200 where I got the money in as a favorite but got a bad result, no prob though. After loosing those pots I wasn't upset with how the session ended though.

Congrats to Leftwing48, friend of Tyler and I's who satellited into the FTOPS #6 Event ($300 buy in) which had 4,372 people, and he got 22nd for $4,852, nice score.

Work was easy today, but kinda sucked because we had to finish up 2 different jobs today. Some of the work was tedious and stressful again in this sick heat. Finally got home around 5:00 p.m. though and was glad.

I basically got home, took a shower and chilled for a while until Tyler got back from the Redhawks baseball game tonight. I was tired, but I wanted to put in a session, after I got through playing a little over 300 hands, it was 1:00 a.m. and I decided I was going to get some sleep, and it was much easier cutting the session short since I was up hahaha, but anyways I'll post a few hands below and I plan on putting in at least 1000 hands tomorrow, but we'll see.

I have AQ in middle position, I raise it up, folds around to the big blind who calls. Flop comes Ah Js 5d, he checks to me, I bet out $13 into the $15 pot, he calls, turn is a Jh, he checks to me, I check behind for pot control if in fact he does have a J, that way i can easily call a river bet, but also I was intending on betting the river if he checked. River is a 5 s, and he checks, and I decide to put in a value bet here with my AQ because I figure this guy is betting a Jack all day long, so I bet hoping he has something like A10 A9, some sort of weak A and he calls and flips over A3, and I got an extra $30 into the $41 pot value I was looking for. I made the title of this post steaming, but not because I was steaming while I was playing cards, but all during work today, we were outside probably like 80 % of the time, and it was literally steaming out there, I must have had 6 water bottles today ! It's been real hot lately and all next week its supposed to be in the 100's and I'm looking forward to some more in a/c poker during that week. I think we are off next week, so I plan on playing a lot online and a few times live actually.

I played about 1,200 hands today, and should have played more, but I stopped. My PAH (Poker ACeHUD) hand history grabber has been missing some of the biggest pots I am playing during my session, and they aren't getting sent to poker tracker and its very frustrating. Until I get that fixed I'll post a few pots that I play here and there. I ended up winning $80 , and I can't complain one bit about the results compared to how the session went. $1/$2 NL Work today sucked, it was super hot outside and miserable all day. Made it through alright though, and was ready to play some cards. I got in around 1000 hands and the session was pretty bad, I mean I lost KK to AA all in for $400 + pot, nothing I could do but shrug it off. I lost KQ to A10 all in on flop of KQJ, I couldn't get away from this hand giving the guys stack size, and I lost 10 10 to guys 9 9 all in pre, but he was a shorty and the pot was like $210 or so I think, not 100 % sure. Pretty standard stuff, can't get upset about this stuff you just gotta keep playing your best and not let it get to you. I finished out the session up around $160 and I plan to play more after work tomorrow. I'm tired and have work yet again tomorrow, so I'm going to sleep, Here is one hand that I played that was interesting.

UTG (under the gun) raises , guy directly behind him calls and I call in the cutoff with 10 s 7s, the button and both blinds fold. Flop comes down 9s 5c 8s, the original UTG raiser, leads out for $24 into the $24 pot, so I can take inconsideration a few things. First off UTG raised pre-flop, so he's got to have some sort of marginal holding, 2nd he has just bet pot on this flop with 2 people behind him, so this guy means business and has some sort of good hand, or so I think. I was putting him on some sort of overpair, but it didn't matter, I just flopped an open ended straight flush draw, and I have to raise. So I make it $80 straight, and he calls. Turn brings a 9h, so the board reads 9s 5c 8s 9h, and he checks to me. At this point im putting him on an over pair 10's or higher. I missed my draw on the turn, but top pair paired the board and there is 2 9's out there, which is actually a good card for me especially sense I'm going with the hand now, I think the 9 on the turn gives me a little more fold equity then what I already had, so I shuve the rest of my $170 into the $184 pot, guy tanks and calls with QQ. River is a 2s and I make my flush and win the $500 pot. I am not a big fan of this guy calling my all in on the turn, really there is nothing that he is beating besides this exact hand. I check raised him on the flop, he calls, and I shuve the turn all in, he's not beating much giving the line I took against him. This morning I had to take my truck down to the dealership where I bought it at, to get the oil changed and minor a/c problem fixed. I gotta give a shout out to my cousin Rob that works in service there, he always takes care of me, and is just an all around great guy !!!! After I got that taken care of I had to get back to meet up with dad for work. Work was very miserable, as we were outside about 90 % of the day, and it was literally steaming.

I decided after work that I wanted to go play live at the local casino around here. I got there around 5:30 P.M. and left around 11:30 P.M. My first table, was hard for me to extract $ from due to the fact that the table was tight / I wasn't getting any good hands / and when I did pick up a hand, they had air. I played this table until around 10:30 P.M. or so, and was still even when I decided to go to another table and see what might happen. Overall the whole day I was in for $270, because I re bought once for $30 and once for $40, and after I left my last table I got up to around $380. So I was up around $100, and was starting to get a headache, and decided to go home. I'm very tired now, and a hard day at work tomorrow ahead of me, so I'm going to try to get some sleep. Yesterday, I didn't play any cards at all, basically took the day off while watching my dad play slots at the casino, which is getting really old. He goes out there thinking he's going to win, and never does, but yet he's always wanting to go back. But anyways I just chilled yesterday.

Today I got off work and went to the casino from like 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. to play $1/$2 NL, I set with $200 and left with $450. I managed to pick up a straight flush with Kc Jc which was pretty nice, and got paid off to. After that I went and picked up Tyler, and we went over to our buddy Hung's house. Went and ate some Mexican food, was bored out of our minds and decided to go see "Hot Rod" which was pretty funny. Now its like 11:45 P.M. and I am trying to decide if I want to play tonight or just wait until tomorrow. If I play I'll post some results, but other then that I'm glad the weekend is here.

Todays session was actually quite sick, I started out down about $400, then it just got worse, and I was down about $700, I got back around -$350, then it was right back to -$650. I decided to get a bite to eat and take a shower, and I told myself that I was just going to get back in there and play my best, and see what happens. I ended up a $60 winner after playing a little over 2,700 hands.

I have to say this is by far the most sickest session I've ever played, and I've played a TON of sessions believe me. Things just wasn't going my way. It wasn't so much bad beats that got me, it was more coolers then anything. But I was able to keep my head on straight and battle my way through it. I'm tired and I think I'm going to go to bed now. Got work again early in morning, and I'll be back in the game tomorrow. Good Night

July Stats

For Poker, July has been my greatest month yet, playing 33,000 hands +. Here is a picture of my Poker Tracker Stats for the month of July. The Limits lower then $0.50/$1 NL were basically just for fun, but they are included.

Also here is a picture graph of just my $1/$2 NL hands this month. It does NOT include any other hands, also take a look and notice the downswing at the first of the month when I took my first shot at $1/$2 NL, and ran bad for my first 1,500 hands or so, so I had to move back down to $0.50/$1 NL and build back up, once I got the roll back up, you can see where at the 1,500 hand mark, I picked back up from the bottom of the downswing, and ran it right back up. Now I'm starting to get deep into $1/$2 NL and I have a little over $7600 roll now, and need $10,000 to play $2/$4 but I think just to be more safe, and have the extra extra padding that I want, I'll probably play $1/$2 until I get around $12,500. We'll see what happens though, never know.

July I accomplished a few things, first off I won the most I had ever won from poker in one month, I got on my way into $1/$2 NL, and won the biggest pot I ever won in my life, see in last post.

Starting tomorrow, August 1st, Tyler and I have a match going, we're going to see who can make the most during the entire month of August at $1/$2 NL and we through up a $200 side bet to make it a little interesting. Looking forward to the challenge, simply because I'm going up against a poker player who knows WTF he is doing (since he's been playing poker for a living for 2-3 years now) and I would rank him up there with the best of the best. Played 1,500 hands, got in some sticky situations, some tough spots here and there, but I broke through and won a nice profit. Also this session I won the biggest pot I had ever won, pretty stoked about that one. Won a few nice pots today actually, and lost a few pots that I should have won, but y0u can't win them all right ? ! Here are a few hands I played...

This pot was the biggest pot I ever won. I was on the button in a 5 handed game with 8h7h, utg (under the gun) limped for $2, I raised it up to $9, and it folds around to the limper who calls. Flop comes 9c 3h 5d , limper checks I bet $19 into the $21 pot, and he calls. Turn is a 10s, which brings me now an open ended straight draw, instead of just a gutshot, limper checks and I check behind to try to peel one off, hoping to catch up to his hand range, and the river is a 6d, so the board reads 9c 3h 5d 10s 6d, and I just made the nuts. The limper bets out $59 into the $59 pot with $233 behind, I reraise the guy all in, and he tanks and calls with 9s6s for a $642 pot :] Here it is. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1320639

Here I have AA UTG, I raise it up, the button reraises me, and the small blind over called, I really didn't think the button guy had a whole lot, just because the fact that he had been reraising quite frequently, although there's still that chance, but I knew the over caller had to be somewhat strong, putting him on a range from like 10 10 , JJ, KK, hands like those. So it came back to me, and I could flat call or re raise, if we all weren't as deep stacked as we were, I probably would have flat called here, but I went ahead and 4 bet the pot up to $92, the original reraiser folded like I had planned, and the over caller 5 bet all in for $250, so he has to be somewhat strong right? I'd hope so. I snap call and the board comes 2s 9c 3d 5h 7d and he flips over QQ, and my Aces hold for a $500 pot. Here it is. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1320658

77 on the button, the cutoff raises, and I call, flop comes Ks 7c 2s, cutoff leads out for $12 into the $17 pot, and I have a decision to make, I can either raise here or call. I opt to raise here because of the possible flush draw out there, if the board was rainbow I probably call 80 % of the time. I made it $32, and he calls, turn is a 9d , great card for me, or I thought, cutoff checks, I fire $68 into the $81 pot, and he sets me all in, which was a little over $100 for me, and I snap call. River is a Qh and the board reads Ks 7c 2s 9d Qh and he flips over Js 10s for the nut straight. I don't mind his play at all though, this is exactly how I would have played the hand if It was my hand in his spot. I don't like the 9 on the turn though, because that give him a couple more outs to go along with his flush draw, and if the 9 don't come, and a non spade/non straight card comes, I probably take the pot down on the turn, but who knows. I was in the small blind with KK, and it folded around to me, I raise, $100 stack reraises me, I ship him in, he snap calls with AQ. Flops 2 pair and boats up on the turn, good game me lol. It could have been worse, he could have had $200 for a $400 pot, but this pot was only $200, and I played the hand fine, so It didn't upset me. But other then those last 2 pots, I really didnt loose any other pots over $200 or so, I lost a few pots that were a little smaller, but nothing I can complain about during this session.

Nice win to finish off the last session in July and looking forward to an even better month in August, and hope to be playing a little bit of $2/$4 NL during September. :]

Got up, went to work, and got off early and was home by around 2:00 P.M. or so. Took shower, cleaned up, and decided that I wanted to play some live $1/$2 NL at the casino. Only stayed around 2 hours, sit with $200 and left with $340. Nice little win, and I was out of there. Didn't get to play any major pots, although one hand that I did play, I was in middle position with QQ, UTG (under the gun) had straddled for $4, 2nd position called, it came to me and I made it $25 straight, on guy behind me called and it folded around to the guy who called the $4, and he called. Flop came 2 3 7 rainbow. Checked to me, I bet $65 and it folded around. Other then that didn't get to play in any major pots, and I would have stayed longer but the table was really getting nutso, and I was ready to get home to put in my hands online.

Start of the online session wasn't to bad, it was deep into it that hurt. I was taking beat after beat, getting the money in good, and coming out a loser, and I played good I thought, with the exception of a few hands. I played from like 6 or so until around 3 in the morning playing 3,500 hands, and ended up winning $200. I was to tired after all that to make a blog post, so I waited till today to make it. Sorry I haven't been posting many hands lately, it's all basically due to laziness but I will post a few hands on the next session that is played. This is the last day of the month, so hopefully I can finish strong, this is my biggest month ever for poker, so I'm pretty happy about that. Anyways, I'll post the next session.

Saturday, I've been waiting for this day for 4-5 days now, simply because I've wanted to sleep in badly. Slept in, woke up, had to mow the front and back yard. Got all that done, went and picked up Tyler to chill over here for the weekend. I got in around 1,000 hands , and ran somewhat decent. The first start of the session I was down a buy in or so ($200) but after that I pretty much ran away with it. I ended up winning $520 , and its just sickening to me knowing that I started with $30 on stars and now have a $7,000 + roll. But here are some hands that I played, and I'm going to go to sleep, get some rest, and probably put in some hands tomorrow. I'll post monthly stats once the month is over.

In a 5 handed game, utg (under the gun) limps for $2 and I raise from the cutoff to $9 with 8s 7s, it folds around to the limper and he makes the call. Flop comes 6c 9d 10s , limper donk leads $11 into the $21 pot , I decided to call here, I flopped the nuts, and theres no flush draw, and i didnt want to raise him off any hands. Turn brings a 3h so the board is 6c 9d 10s 3 h, pretty much the best card that I could ask for, and the board is beautiful. The guy bets $21 into $43 and I decide right here that I've got to raise the guy up, if I want to make any $ on this hand, so I raised him up to $80 and he calls. At this point I really didn't know what the guy had, all I know is he had something that he wasn't folding. River brings an 8d, and the guy ships $192 into the $203 pot, I call hoping he didn't make a higher straight, and he turns over 10 8, for 2 pair, and I won the $490 pot. 6 handed game, folded around to me in the small blind with Ac 10s I raise it up, big blind calls and the flop comes 5s 4h 3c, I check the flop, he checks behind, turn brings a 10d, I bet, and get raised, and I call. River is a 9c and I check call and he turns over 6d2d for a flopped straight. After playing this hand I decided that it was a hand that I pretty much played bad. After talking the hand over with Tyler, we figured that the best line here would have been to bet the flop, fold to a raise, and if the guy calls the flop, I could bet the turn again and fold to a raise. Concert

Woke up today, knew I had to go to work, and had a long day ahead of me, but the only thing stuck in the back of my mind was the Rascal Flatts Concert. Eventually got off work, went home, cleaned up, went to pick up Tyler, grabbed some food, chilled a bit to kill some time, and headed for the Ford Center to see the show. Let me tell ya, concert was just sick, can't describe it, if your a country music fan, you would have loved this. Our seats were pretty sick to, we were in the first section off the floor row H, so basically 8 rows up from the floor, to awesome. Anyways, trips are over for now, concerts are over for a while, and I've had 2 days off now, I got to get back in the game starting tomorrow. Anyways I'm tired, got work tomorrow, so I'm off to sleep !

I woke up today and it was basically blah, right off the bat. Had to get around, and go to my Aunt Sandra's funeral, who passed away a few days back with cancer. Theres pretty much nothing worse then letting a loved one go, and all the grieving that goes along with it. I really felt bad for a lot of my family who were really close to her, more so then I. I never spent much time with her actually, I would see her at pretty much all the family get gatherings, say Hi, have a little short conversation here and there, that was it. I've heard stories from my dad and other family about Aunt Sandra in the past of good times. Anyways, Its no fun losing a loved one, and my heart goes out to all the family and friends who knew her. After the whole funeral thing, the majority of us went out to my grandmas to enjoy a nice prepared meal, which was great !

Time to get back to the house and play some $1/$2 NL. Pretty standard session, although there were a couple hands I played bad, but the results would have turned out the same. I was facing resistance from a few of the players, but I was able to keep my cool and stay on top of my game. I played roughly 1,400 hands, and overall on a scale from 1-10 on how well I played, honest I'd have to say about an 8. I've still got improvements here and there but after reviewing the key pots that were played, I've made some adjustments and hope to never make the same mistake again. It's nice being able to finally play $1/$2 NL and not have to be playing the $0.50/$1 NL game that I was playing. Overall the play is just the same, just richer people, that love to play poker for fun basically, but you have a few regulars in the game, who are fun to play against. I ended up about 2.4 buy ins or so.

It was nice to actually watch Tyler play today as well, he put in about 500 hands or so and made a nice profit, I think he was up over $500 or so, and I was able to pick up a few things by watching him, to incorporate into my game. Its on for next month though bud ! Tyler and I have a challenge next month, were going to see who can beat the $1/$2 NL game for the most during August, and it starts Aug. 1, and I'm going to give it all I got ! After that its an Uphill battle straight to the $2/$4 NL game !

Anyways I'm going to get off here and chill a bit before work tomorrow, I'll probably play again after work.

Mondays= P.O.S. Waking up to go to work after a nice enjoyable weekend of somewhat sleeping in, and having to get up to go to work, almost puts me on live tilt. I really don't while I play cards but I can sure tilt in life. Anyways work wasn't so bad, got off by around 2:30 P.M. or so, got home and chilled for a bit. Picked up Tyler, we went and grabbed some BBQ, good stuff. Came back to the house and put in a session of 1,500 hands, and pretty much broke even. Pretty standard session, although today I kept facing resistance by a great amount of the players I was up against. Maybe they were catching hands and I wasn't, who knows what the case was, but it wasn't standard thats for me thats for sure. I played well in my session, although after reviewing my hands I found a couple spots where I could have improved my game, but nothing major.

This hand, UTG (under the gun) min raises, I 3 bet, and this guy that 3 bet me like twice in the last 10 hands, goes ahead and 4 bets me. Given the fact that this guy was super aggressive, and was trying to run over me, I decide that I'm going to just Felt the QQ I had, so the UTG guy folds, and I 5 bet ship it all in, the guy tanks, at this point I know he don't have AA unless he is being an a$$ and slow rolling me, so I'm happy there, and more then likely he's not folding kings, pretty much a snap call as well since most people don't fold KK pre-flop, and he decides to call with AK of clubs, and happens to flop the nut flush, and I lose a coinflip. I'm not disappointed in the way I played this hand, given the guys reraising frequency against me plus his super agro style. This hand right here was pretty standard. I open from UTG with 88, folds around to the big blind who calls. Flop comes 3h Qd 8c, and he donk leads $15 into like the $16 pot to me, the board is so dry, no flush draw, only a gut shot, which I don't leading a gutshot draw out on this board ever, and I have position so I opted to just call. Turn brings a 6s , still no flush draw. The guy bets out $45 into the $45 pot, with $70 something left behind, right then and there, I decide that theres pretty much no way the guy is going to get away from his hand, he's pretty much making a statement with that pot bet that he's not going anywhere, so I ship the rest of his $ in, he calls with AQ, river is a 9 and the pot is mine. So today I woke up, went to eat with my Dad and Uncle at a little sit down place called Perry's, and it was pretty good actually. Then I came home, took care of a few things that needed to be done, and Tyler finally woke up in the middle of the day, first thing he said when he woke up, "You been playing?" "No I haven't been playing, I...." "What !!! You've had all this time to play and not played one hand yet ! ? ...hahaha so basically I decided to play some hands.

I played around 500 hands, then took like a 30 minute break to play Tyler in some Ping Pong, then played around another 400 hands or so. The first half of the session went decent I guess, basically standard play, not playing any huge pots, was up around $100 or so. After the break, guys were just completely dumping $ to me, it was more less money growing on trees, I actually couldn't believe it. I had won another $800. I'll post a few hands here then I'm going to get ready for bed tomorrow.

Basically what happen here, UTG (under the gun) raises it up, I 3 bet right behind him with AK, folds around to the big blind, he over calls, and the original guy calls as well. Flop comes down A59 rainbow, bb checks, utg checks, I bet $59 into $73, bb folds, original raiser check raises me all in and I call for a $425 pot, turn is a 2 river is a 9, no flush out there. He turns over AJ and my hand is good. The only hand that I could see beating me was 99 or 55, so I had to go with the hand and hope he has a worse Q. Sure enough he didn't have either one of those hands.

I woke up Saturday, and decided that I've had enough of Vista's Operating Sytem. I've had nothing but trouble out of it, and I wanted XP back on my Vaio. So I went around to 2 or 3 stores when I woke up and just purchased it. Spent the rest of the day getting stuff on a cd that I wanted saved, erasing old vista off, and putting xp back on. Then the fun started, and thank god I had help from Tyler because alot of this stuff was complicated. Since I had went from Vista to Xp, alot of drivers were missing for just about everything. We got it all sweet except no adio and no mic would work. I fell asleep somewhere around 2:00 A.M. last night and woke up around 7:45 A.M. or so, only to find Tyler still working on my laptop. He had to go to some german website to get a driver that would actually work, so he got the audio, and now all we have to do is get my mic working, which is not a big deal actually, I'm in no hurry for it. So the whole day was spent on switching the laptop over from vista to xp, and no cards were played. Today I plan on playing some, if everything goes right. Today I played online for like 100 hands, and was up $100 or so, and just decided to go play $1/$2 NL live at the casino. Played for about 2-3 hours or so, and the biggest pot I played went like this... I was in the cutoff at the 9 handed table, with 3 limpers ahead of me so I made it $14 to go with AJh, and got 2 callers. The first guy checked, this guy with $100 behind donk bet $20 into me on a flop of 10 3 2 with 2 hearts. I re raised him to $100 or so, setting him all in, other guy folds and he calls with 8 7 of hearts, so I'm like sweet, turn is a black nine, river is a black 6. Other then that I didn't play any other big pots. I can't explain how baddddddd the live players are, these guys are terrible. I see people raising $25 preflop with no limpers at the $1/$2 table, I see guys betting 3x pot all over the place, and i see people cold calling on the river with the nuts, how juicy is this game to play ? But anyways I'm tired , going to get off here and go to bed, and I expect to put in a nice long online session tomorrow. Im out.

So today I started playing for like 30 minutes or so, had like 400 hands in, when my dad and uncle decided to go to casino, so Tyler and I had to go watch. It was a long night as we didn't get back in until like 4:30 A.M. last night, but it was fun watching my uncle play blackjack/slots/ and 3 card poker. He was up like $400 + at one time but as each beer went down, his profit melted away. By the end of the night I think he was down $200 + but I'm not 100 % sure. I'm headed back to the tables though right now so maybe I can run good and win a few $.

I was supposed to get up and go to work at 9:00 A.M. this morning, woke up at 8:30 , and decided not to get there until 10:00, was just to tired. Got home from work and and picked up Tyler. Tyler, another friend, Hung, and I all went to eat at Boomerang, which was pretty decent. After that we dropped Hung back off at his place and I opened up 4 tables of $1/$2 NL like normal, and put in around 1,400 hands. The session was really frustrating, I was getting myself committed in pots against short stacks, money was going in good but results turning out bad, what can I do u know ? I finally broke through and won about $60 so I cant complain, and I will be playing again tomorrow after work. Tired now though so I'm off to sleep, night.

Today I had to wake up and aboard the plane at 9:45 A.M. with Tyler and we made it back to Oklahoma City. It's actually nice being home now after the short trip, but I definitely want to go back.

This trip was amazing, enjoyed every day. It was really nice being able to see a new city as well, kinda cool how most everyone just walks around down here. I just got through eating at this one place, supposed to be the tallest building in Chicago, downtown, over looking the city, and we ate on like the 96th floor, and there is 97 floors I believe, not 100 % sure. It was the original 4 who all ate, (Ye, Sven, Tyler, and I) and the meal was ok, maybe I'm not used to eating meals like this, but I would have enjoyed a place like golden coral just as much, but hey, the view from where we ate, over looking the city, was well worth it, absolutely incredible. The bill came to $338 I beleive, for the 4 of us, ship it !

From the 12th to the 15th (tonight) I was able to accomplish a few things. I managed to win $975 on the trip, which included getting me back to $1/$2 NL, and also winning about a buy in at the new level. Just going to try to play my cards the best way I can and hope for the best, grind grind grind, that will be me in the next month or so.

The trip was awesome, went by way to fast, had a blast with Tyler, Ye , and Sven, and can't wait to head out for the next trip. We have to get up at like 6:00 A.M. Monday morning so we can head over to the airport, to catch our flight back to the city, so I'm probably headed to bed soon.

Saturday, woke up, got around, and headed out to Wrigely. The seats we had, unbelievably sick, right behind home plate basically, 2nd section , 2nd row, couldn't have asked for anything any better. As you know, I took a shot at $1/$2 NL a few days ago, lost $1,000 and had to move back down. Since then I have done my best to play good, and make a comeback, because the guys at $1/$2 that I played against were so terrible, I just ran so bad. Today I managed to win $470 and I need $100 more to take another shot at $1/$2NL, and it should be very soon. It's 1:45 a.m. Saturday morning and I'm getting tired, and need some rest for tomorrow. Chicago so far

Boarded the plane, and we were off to Chicago. The flight was nice, but it was a smaller plane then expected, can't complain though. Chicago airport was just as big as I suspected it to be, so many people everywhere. We all (Ye, Sven, Tyler) all got a cab van, and finally made it to the hotel. Very pleased with the hotel, cool a/c, good internet, all around great place and no problems. Its nice here in Chicago, everyone walks around everywhere, theres places to eat at every corner, and a nice breeze. I got situated in the hotel, played around 2,000 hands and was up like $300 at one time, and went on a bad run, was only up like $15.

Had to get up this morning around 11:30 a.m. to get ready for the Cubs game. The game was great, we won 6-0, crushing the Astros was nice. Seats were awesome, and they are the worst seats we have, but by far good seats. Tomorrows game is at 3:00 p.m. and looking forward to it as well. I'm going to get off here for a while and play some cards, updates this evening probably, if not tomorrow.

So basically, I ran bad at $1/$2 NL yesterday, taking first shot with a bankroll, and lost 5 buy ins, which was $1,000. I misplayed a set on a draw heavy board, and got punished for a buy in, other then that, it was just total sick. I told myself if lost 5 buy ins at $1/$2 NL right off the bat, that I would move back down and try to regain to take another shot. After the $1/$2 NL downswing i played about 1,400 hands at $0.50/$1 NL, ran terrible and still managed to pick up $300. So was down about $600 on the session, cant complain.

Its 3:00 A.M. Thursday morning right now and all I have on my mind is Chicago and sleep. The morning, at 12:30 P.M. Tyler and I's flight leaves out for Chicago and can't wait. Ye and Sven actually are on the same flight as us, and will be going to Chicago as well.

Also, today we all (Tyler, Ye, Sven and myself) ate at a place called The Coaches Place. I got the buffalo steak meal, which wasnt to bad. The bill between us 4 came to $240 or so, and we left a $40 tip. Had to be the most expensive place I ever ate, but it wasn't to bad I guess.

Anyways I'm off to sleep, I expect to put in a minimum of 1k hands tomorrow after I get settled in the hotel in Chicago, but we'll see.

After the weekend, it was really hard getting up to go to work this morning, although just like any other Monday, I rolled out of bed and kinda dragged the feet to my truck, and was off. Got home around 5 or so I'd say, and decided it was time to play some $0.50/$1 NL and try to get to $5,000 + so that I could finally play some $1/$2 NL !!!!!! I ended up only playing a few hands over 500 when the last 2 pots that I won had put me over $5,000. I was down about $190 at one time but kept my head straight like normal and tried to play my A game. I was able snap some guys off, and now I'm there, where I've wanted to be for months and months. I am not going to be playing any $1/$2 NL tonight, and plan to play tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who has helped me some way or another on the poker tables, u guys know who you are !!!! Today was great. Woke up around 12:45 or so, took Tyler to get his hair cut by this chinese lady that has cut his hair for long time, she cut it in like 7 minutes, I couldn't believe it. After that Ye, Sven, Tyler and I went to eat mexican food, and was quite delicious. Basically chilled the rest of the day, played some ping pong, and went to the Casino (Riverwind) later tonight. I played some $1/$2 NL cash game, was up $80, only played for like 2 hours or so, and decided to get up and leave since I have work tomorrow. Day 2

So today is the 2nd day for Sven and Ye to be in Oklahoma, and I know this place isn't like Vegas, a whole lot of stuff to do and all, but I'm pretty sure they are enjoying there stay so far. Today I woke up and went and picked up Tyler this morning, he had not slept all last night. Instead he was busy playing the session he had started last night, on through this morning pulling off a $1,300 + winning session, keep those up bud ! I came back to the house with Tyler, he needed a few hours of sleep, so he got some sleep, and about 9:00 P.M. we went back over to the hotel to meet Sven and Ye to go bowling. Bowling was fun, however Tyler owns us all, and I was lucky enough to tie him last game. We flipped a coin for the win, and of course I win all my coin flips :] . Ye is hilarious when it comes to bowling, we had 2 games planned to bowl, he made it through game 1 no problem, game 2, 3rd frame, he started getting tired so we all traded off going for him, haha. Sven (Nazi/ German kid haha) cracks me up when he eats. We go to mcdonalds, this kid weighs like 130 lbs, around like 6'3, he orders one Big Mac, 4 hamburgers, and a 10 piece chicken nugget meal, with a large sprite. After seeing him eat this meal yesterday, I knew he would have no problem taking it down yet again today, but its just crazy haha. Anyways we went back to the hotel and chilled until around 2, I got a little over 800 hands in, and managed to score a win, $1/$2 NL is within reach. We all plan to go to Riverwind tomorrow (Sunday) to play some cards, I think Sven and Tyler are going to play some PLO and Ye and I will play $1/$2 NL , however Ye said if he plays $1/$2 NL, he will play his cards without looking at them, cuz he's a baller ! Im sure he'll play in any other bigger game if they have one goin, but we'll see how it all goes. Off to bed peace.

I've actually been looking forward to this day for a while, because Ye ( nl cash game rapist $3/$6 nl and up ) and Sven ( German kid, experienced $1/$2 nl and up, aggressive player) came to Oklahoma to visit Tyler and I. We got them picked up at the airport somewhere around 10:00 P.M. ish, left the airport to take them to the hotel, and happen to get lost out in the middle of no where, but we kept driving until we seen lights (which was good news seeing the lights) and we finally made it to the hotel prob around 11:30 ish or so. It was the first time we had met these 2 in person, and they really are great guys. Tyler, Ye, Sven, and I all decided to play some online poker in the room. When we all stopped, I think Ye had won like $300 +, Sven won $1,000 + , Tyler won like $300 + but is in the 2nd part of his session as I speak, and I won a tad over $30. Need 3 buy ins exact ($300) to play some $1/$2 NL , hoping to be there very soon, we'll see how that goes, anyways I'm tired so going to bed, peace.

today played like 1,200 hands, and I'm done, got put in sick spots everywhere, stuff like, flopping top 2 , guy flopping straight, stuff like making flush, having to fold it in middle of hand because 100 % sure he either had higher flush or boat, just sick spots , running bad. More stuff like getting it in QQ to AK, coin flips, loosing those, decided to stop for now, I may play a bit later, but not 100 % sure, expect to play around 1-2 k hands for tomorrow though, peace.

Well today I had to work for like 2-3 hours at work, then we were off for the rest of the day. I came home, railed Tyler in a few tournaments, and managed to get in only like 80 hands today at the tables, and just called it quits, was busy doing stuff. Managed to win a little bit though.

Keith Urban concert tonight was absolutely amazing, he played almost all of his songs, except for a couple I can think of, and its sad that its over and in the past now. But anyways I had a great time, and I'm sure Tyler did to. Rascal Flatts concert is coming up at the end of the month, going to try to make that one, sure would like to !

Will be back in the games tomorrow, i need less than $400 to make it to $1/$2 NL, and theres no looking back from here, time to run away with it and take it as far as it can go. Like Tyler tells me everyday, "YOU NEED TO PUT IN MORE HANDS" , I know this is true, gotta listen to that kid, he knows what he's talking about. Especially if I want to take my game to the next step, which i most certainly do. Anyways im off to bed, there will be atleast 1k hands played tomorrow, g-nite.

I woke up this morning, decided to go ahead and play for a few hours. Was hoping to start the month off right, solid play, good calls, no tilt, just straight forward poker. June wasn't a bad month at all, cant complain. Ended up winning around $1,000 or so at the $0.50/$1 tables, and earned around $600 in rake back. I have got to get up to $1/$2, its making me sick, got to get there soon. I'd like to have around 7K in the roll by the end of July, but who knows, just going to play the best I can and go with it. Little over $600 and I'll be playing $1/$2 NL for the first time actually being rolled. So today basically was a continuation session of the downswing come back, and I ended up putting in around 1,100 hands today, inching my way back, playing as solid as ever, getting the money in good majority of the time, theres not much else I can do. Managed to win around $50-$60 or so today i cant remember, but i cut my losses to $175 since being down $800 +. Anyways I'm tired and off to sleep, will be back at the tables again tomorrow, hoping to break through to a profit, but we'll see how it goes.

Tyler Crushes Field !

Today Tyler played a $30 tournament with Marcello (good friend of his who plays tournaments with him, and they usually swap 15 % , 20 % of the winnings to reduce the variance. There was like 50 people in this tournament, and it was a satellite to the Sunday warm ups on poker stars, which is a $200 + $15 buy in, they both made the final table and won a seat to the tournament, congrats guys.

Tyler also played another tournament with Marcello, a $24 + $2 PLH (pot limit holdem) and there was 225 players, unfortunately Marcello busted out of the tournament, but stayed on the rail with tyler, and between the both of them, thinking through hands, making sick plays, managed to crush the entire field and take down the 1st prize, $1,350, way to go !!!!!!! SICKKKKKKK

Keep playin and dont stop, i wanna be on the rail of a wpt or wsop event some day !!!!!

Meanwhile im back in the cash games to try to get back to even and maybe win a little bit, still stuck $220 from the sickest downswing of my lifetime, but i got it under control, hoping to be playing $1/$2 NL by the 14th of July , which is when Tyler and I head out to Chicago. I need around $700 all together, 7 buy ins, not that big of a deal, ima shoot for the July 4th to be over $5,000 in the roll.

I am going to be honest, the past 48 hours have been the roughest of my poker life, i've never lost 8 buy ins + ($800 + at the limit I'm playing now) and its very tough to keep your mental focus and still play the game the best u can and not let it get under your skin, because if i make the right play, in the long run I'm going to be a winner, but this is just to sick, working through this basically made me ask myself the question if i can handle the "swings " that poker has to offer, and my answer is yes, i definitely think its a challenge you know. I will work through anything put in my path along the lines of poker to fight through and make it up there to the big boys playing for thousands and thousands of dollars, which is my goal one day.

but anyways.... just got through finishing off around 2,000 hands today, talk about ups and downs, but i finally ended up winning quite a bit today and last night. Sense i was down $820, I've made a huge comeback, and im playing good i'd say, im now only stuck....

so basically yesterday, i got crushed, i was down $820 at one point, the most $ i have ever lost in one session of poker, and i closed the gap to like $550 or so by the time i quit at like 4:00 a.m. this morning, and got in about 3,000 hands. Basically 60 % bad beats/25 % coolers/ 10 % tilt and i dont know even wtf the other 5 % is, im not going to lie, i was on pure steam for like 3 hours straight it was unbeleiveable, i made some bad calls, and i cant beleive i did that because im more disciplined then that. Anyways im not going to summarize the session until im back to even or + what i started with on this session, im headed back to the tables peace.

Session only lasted for 250 hands or so. What made me stop so fast, was it multiple coolers/bad beats/terrible play ? NOPE. I have a Sony Vaio laptop and about 2 months ago, the laptop fell off my bed onto the floor, and basically messed up the inside of the power cord jack. I took the laptop in to get fixed, and to make a long story short, they guy put scratches all over the top of my laptop, but that has nothin to do with today. He put a jack in for me, that was to big, so it stretches the side of my laptop a bit, which is frustrating, and now when i plug my power cord into the side of the computer, it pops out and comes off charge, so in order to get it to stay, i have it taped with scotch tape, meanwhile this "computer guy" is supposed to be finding me the right jack for the laptop. This guy has no clue WTF he is doing and its frusrating, it makes me want to go throw a brick at his store when it is closed. So during my session, about 250 hands in, i noticed my notebook running off battery, and im like wtf, i look over and the tape had come off, and not to long after that my computer shut off, so i had to retape it up out of frustration, and my buddy tyler got a kick out of it, so he snapped some pictures and he was laughing so hard he had tears running down his face, so it was kinda funny lol. But anyways i need to get this fixed before it sets me on poker tilt, im not playing the rest of the night, and i managed to win around $30 for the amount of hands i played. Im done until tomorrow, heres a couple hands.

This hand, i had a read on the guy, i've played a ton of hands with this guy for the past month or so, so i know his range. I open from the cutoff in a 5 handed game with KQ off suit, this guy in the small blind calls my raise, flop comes down 10h 4d ks, he checks, i bet like $6 into $8 pot, guy check raises me to $18, now at this point im thinking what could he have that beats me, from all the previous times i've played with this guy, he 3 bets me alot, and with all good hands plus air sometimes, he 3 bets me with AK, 3 bets me with 10's here, and i highly doubt he calls my raise with K10 and its possible, so the only hand i see that has a good chance of beating me is 44, so i tell myself, im calling him down no matter what he bets, so i call. The turn he bets $29 into like $40 something, i call, turn he checks, and i really wanted to bet for value here, but i decided not to be greedy, and check behind only to find out he had QJ o d for busted draw, i think i played this hand great, and if he pots or bets the river, im calling him without a thought. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1211292

Todays session started out great, i stacked a guy, was up like $80 right off the bat, then i got coolered for a buy in, and then took a mini cooler, no big deal. Then things started swinging my way again, i was up around $360 toward the end of session, and got in a few bad spots and had to throw some hands down, but still had a winning session, and im not to far from playing at the next level, less than 4 buy ins away ($400). Here are a few hands that i played during the session.

STACKAGE :] .....ok so i pick up 10 10 in the small blind, the game was 4 handed, the guy utg limps, (this guy loves to use position to his advantage, anytime a street is checked to him, he bets, if he gets called he'll slow down if he dont have anything), anyways button folds and i just complete with 10's, (why i didnt raise, i dont know, i raise here just about 100 % of the time) but anyways flop comes 8d 5s 8s, i bet out to see where i stand, and this guy calls me, so im thinkin somethin like 67 or spade draw, possibly some kind of 8, turn is a Kd, i decide to check, and he checks behind, river is a 10s, so i have 10's full of 8s, and the flush is made, so i just bet $17 into $17 pot hoping he has some kind of flush or an 8, he re pops me and we get it in for like a $273 pot, and he turns over K8, I coolered this guy WOW. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1207857

After a day or so off of playing online poker, i got in around right at 1k hands in today, and managed to win $110. Standard session basically, usually win some, and loose some. I dont mind loosing some of the small pots, but u got to win your big pots to increase your earnings in the long run. I've been trying to study and review all the big pots i play the past 4-5 months and i think i've got a lot better thinking of what to do in certain spots, anyways i was able to win a few big pots during the session, and i was to pill off a win. Here are a couple hands i played during the session.

I open from the button in a 5 handed game with AJ, the button calls and we are heads up, flop comes 4s Jd 3c, he checks, i bet $6 into like $8 he calls, turn is a 2 of clubs, im putting him on something like KJ , QJ, so fire a second round of $16 into $20, guy calls, river is an 8h, theres no reason to think i dont have the best hand here, so i bet $35 into $52, guy calls and he had QJ. Basically just took the guy to value city with this hand, this board was the type of board i dont mind firing 3 barrels with top pair top kicker, he dont play any other hand this way that beats me. Another hand i played, guy raises from the cutoff, a tight player, i pick up AK 3 bet him, he flat calls, flop comes 3 8 5 rainbow, i fire out like $20 into a $24 pot, he calls, at this point i got him on a range like 10's Q's, and its possible that he has a small pair, and is calling preflop with a pair for implied odds because we both had more than a buy in on the table, but i just didnt feel like he had a pair, i think he would have raised me on the flop if he flopped a set. Turn brings an A, so i check , he bets out $20 into $60, the pot was escalating quick, i decide to just call. I havnt played much online in the past day and half or so, i played Friday night like 2,400 hands, was down about $370 at one time, played well, just runnin bad, no problem. Quit at like 5 in the morning, so i could sleep 2 1/2 hours before i had to get up at 7:30 and go to work. I cut my losses to $170 and i still need like almost $800 before $1/$2 NL. Im going to try and put like 1,000 hands in sometime tonight though, so we'll see how it goes and i'll post a few hands.

After i got home from the casino, i still had my hands to play online. I jumped on Ultimate bet and opened 4 tables like normal. I was crushing everyone today, people were dumping money to me left and right. Another good winning session, i need like 2 more sessions like this and i'll be able to play first session of $1/$2 NL.

Here goes a hand where i had AK. Guy min raised pre-flop, so i 3 bet (re raised) him up with AK. Flop comes k54 with 2 hearts, i bet $12 into like $16, he minraises me to $24, he had $75 behind, i went ahead and just shuved it in, if he had 55 or 44 i would go broke to this guy, he was a calling station, and was calling re raises everytime he was re raised, so i wasnt folding this hand to him. Today, i went to work, and we were lucky enough to get off by like 1:00 P.M. I came home, cleaned up, and decided that i want to go to the casino and play some $1/$2 with with some cash i had in the bank, not my online roll because i dont have enough to play $1/$2 NL with. So anyways i roll out there, i get there at like 1:50, and the pit boss asks me if i would like to play in the $60 freezeout tournament that they had goin at 2, so i said sure. I got absolutely no cards, i got AK of diamonds once, raised it up, got 4 callers, terrible board, so i just check folded. Blinds got 75/150 and i had around 1K in chips, i found a perfect spot to shuv in ninja mode, and i had QJ of diamonds, and ran into a hand i didn't want to see, KQ off . GG me, i was out. I went over to the cashier cage, and got my chips to play $1/$2 nl. I set down at this 9 handed game, and pickup AK within my first 10 hands. I raise it up to $10 preflop, and got 4 callers. Flop comes down KJ4 rainbow, small blind checks i bet out like $35 into the $40 something pot, guy shuvs all in for like $100 more on top of that, i just couldnt see my AK being good here, he does this with a hand like 44, or KJ, and i highly doubt he does that with AQ but maybe he could, these players were terrible. Anyways i fold and show face up, guy says nice fold and shows me 44 for a set. So im already down like almost $50 in the cash game, and i pick up Q9 of hearts, and decide to limp in the cutoff. Theres like 3 other limpers before me, and no raise. Flop is J 10 4 with 2 hearts, small blind bets out $10, one guy folds, this other guy makes it $65 to go, i had like $125 behind, im open ended with a flush draw, i go ahead and stick it in, small blind folds , the guy calls with J4 for 2 pair, turn goes 10, river goes like 7 of hearts, made my flush....ship it. I limped with 78 of hearts in late position, flopped a flush, bet 3 streets and this donkey called me down with middle pair, good game sir. I lost $60 in the tournament, and ended up winning $100 in the cash game, so i was up about $40 and had fun !

So after taking the day off yesterday, i wanted to put in a decent amount of hands, close to around 2k hands, but i ended up playing around 1700 hands. I played very well today, cant recall any major mistakes i made at the tables, i was able to get away from some big hands when i knew i was beat, and i was able to pick up some nice pots as well.

One pot i played i had Ah Qh in middle position (UTG + 1), so i make a standard raise and the guy in the cutoff calls, as well as the small and big blind. Flop comes Kh 10d 6h, small blind checks big blind only has $2.05 so he gets it in, i go ahead and raise that up to $8, cutoff folds and the small blind makes it $40 to go , at this point im putting the guy on something like 66, K10 for 2 pair, at which i have plenty of outs to crush his hand, either way im not folding this draw, so i go ahead and ship the rest of it in, and he calls, turn goes 4h , river goes 7s, ship tha $ this way, he turns over 10 6 off suit for 2 pair. The biggest pot i lost during the session, wasn't even for a full buy in, which i was glad. Im in the cuttoff with 99, utg guy has 37 $ total, he open raises, the utg + 1 guy flat calls, im sitting here with nines, i dont really want to flat call here, because the implied odds are not there for me to flop my set, since the utg guy doesnt have that much behind, but yet my hand is way to good of a hand just to fold, and theres also extra $ in the pot since the guy behind him fold, so the best thing i can think of is go ahead and raise this pot up to $15 or so, and try to take it down right there, or just go ahead and try to get all in with the short stack. Well the short stack wants no business in the pot so he folds, utg +1 over calls my bet, usually u put someone on somethin like 10's, j's, AK, maybe AQ, in a situation like this, u never know, but i've been playing with this guy for quite some time, have good notes on him, and his calling ranger here is very wide. So the flop comes 453 of spades, and the guy has pocket 2's, with the 2 of spades, so he has an open ended straight flush draw, he checks to me, i bet out like $32 into a $35 pot, he shuvs all in, at this point im just hoping he has somethin like AK with the A of spades, maybe a pair 7's 8's, i dunno, but anyways i have 99 without a spade, and am just not folding to this guy, i get it in, turn is a Q h river is 6h, gg me, he had a shietload of outs, and stacked me. Im happy with the way i played the hand though, the guy managed to win a $180 pot, heres the hand.
