Basic Standard Session

$0.50/$1 NL

Got in 1000 + hands today, and only got stacked once for a buy in, i lost a few small pots here and there to short stacks, but thats about as standard as it gets anymore. The session was just annoying, i had to lay some of my big hands down in the middle of the hand because people were making hands on me, flushes/straights/etc. Im just glad i have a decent eye to see when this kinda stuff happens, because its hard to lay down certain hands when theres only 2-3 hands out there that can beat u.

One hand i played, UTG (under the gun) guy raises it up, im in the cut off with KK so i 3 bet him, he flat calls, flop comes K93 with 2 hearts, he chekcs i bet, he calls, turn is a 7 o h, he checks, now this is where i made a mistake, i go ahead and bet again, he calls, the river is a 5 of diamonds. The only hands that beat me are 68, and thats very unlikely given the fact that i re raised pre-flop, and the only other hand that beats me is a flush. He checks the river to me, i automatically assume he shuvs the last of his 10 $ in the pot with a flush, so i go ahead and shuv him in, hoping he has something like pocket 9's, or AK , which is very unlikely also sense i had KK myself. He turns over q 10 of hearts for a flush, typical fish, and takes down around a $170 pot. Im really not upset at loosing the pot, what im upset about is how i played it. Post flop, i played it fine, firing out a bet on the flop is fine as well, when the 7 of hearts hits the turn, and he checks to me, i need to check behind, and call a river bet, just in case he has a flush and not be to greedy. I dont know what i was thinking when i fired a 2nd barrel on the turn, because usually i will check the turn if a flush hits about 70 % of the time depending on the situation. If i check turn and call a river, i dont double the guy up, and i minimize my losses and maximize my earnings in the long run. Heres a link to the hand.

I also managed to stack a guy for a decent pot. Ok so im UTG, and i raise it up with A9 of diamonds, the button calls and the small blind calls, flop comes 4 s 10 h 9 h, small blind leads out $1 into a $10 pot, the bet is just so weak, i elect to pop it up to $8, the button calls me and the small blind calls as well, right now im putting the guy on the button on some type of draw like, QJ 78, or a flush draw, and the small blind guy on like A10 K10, maybe a draw as well. The turn brings a 9 of clubs, perfect card for me, no draw was filled, if someone had top pair, i now have them crushed, small blind checks, i bet $25 into a 35 $ pot, the button calls and the small blind folds. the turn comes a 2S , which is best card in the deck, because no draws were completely. There is now $84 in the pot, i go ahead and shuv what i have left behind ($73) and he snap calls, and turns over pocket KK, freeeee money :]] Had the guy re raise me pre-flop with his KK, he could have taken the pot right there, and avoided all this. If i dont hit my 9 on the turn, i proceed no further in the hand, simple as that, heres the link
